Booster Pumps

What is a water booster pump?

Booster pumps increase low water pressure and flow. It provides the extra boost needed to bring your water pressure to the desired level. A water booster pump provides pressure to move water from a storage tank or throughout a whole house or commercial facility.

How does a Booster Pump work?

Essentially, a booster pump boosts water pressure. In many cases, a booster pump will increase the flow rate. Booster pumps work very similarly to fans. A booster pump has an impeller that is inside the unit that increases water flow and pressure in much the same fashion.

When is a booster pump needed?

There is a multitude of household water pressure problems a pressure booster pump can help alleviate.

This includes:

  • Bringing water out of a water/rain harvesting tank
  • Increasing a home’s household pressure if it is too low
  • Increasing water pressure for irrigation systems
  • Pumping water from an alternative water source such as a river, pond, or stream
  • Boost water pressure as a result of the low supply of city water.
  • Push water from ground levels up multiple levels.

Save on Energy Costs!

The variable frequency drives enable the pump to operate at a lower speed, resulting in significant energy savings. When a pump operates at a speed that is 20%  slower, your energy consumption is lowered by as much as 50%

At SLA Water Solutions, we  work with mechanical contractors, engineers and facility owners to deliver the best booster pump systems for a variety of applications.

Our team takes pride in designing and building pressure-boosting solutions for your specific building: condominiums, apartments, hotels, motels, office buildings, car washes, laundromats, and much more.
